Well we're leaving in less than 24 hours. Our flight is at 4:40 pm eastern time. We arrive in Romania early afternoon Thursday via Amsterdam.
We've spent the last few days in ATL preparing to leave. We're packing all of the stuff we've collected for people over the last year. We have three duffel bags filled with stuff our belongings are in our carryons.
We're looking forward to hearing "Mind your step" on the movators in Amsterdam. We're really looking forward to walking to our gate in Amsterdam. You don't even need to look at the monitor. You just have to observe the people standing near the gate. You can tell by the surly looking, poorly dressed, smelly folks that this gate must be going to Romania. You'll also know its going to be a flight to Romania by listening to the yelling and seeing the lack of queuing.
We're sharpening our elbows as I write this.
I watched the best episode of TV ever when we were in Nome. We watched No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain on the Travel Channel. While we normally like this show the episode where he went to Romania caused me to raise my arms in the air, look at Swell and say "I told you it sucks there".

Yeah, we saw the show. We saw the comments people left. We read what the Romanian Minister of Travel said. Bourdain didn't like all the touristic places he was sent to. We didn't agree with a russian guide in Romania. We have our own opinions. That episode was full of controversy.
Have a wonderful trip to Romania!! Was your nose itching??? Because we were talking about you today! Y'all are spoiled going to Europe just like that ;-) Just kidding. We're excited for you! Have fun and try all the Starbucks and Dr. Peppers in every european country. See if they taste different ;-)
